The Hong Kong Institute of Financial Analysts and Professional Commentators Limited, ("IFAPC"), was founded by Hong Kong's renowned financial analysts and professional commentators, the founding members of the Institute are: Ms. Agnes Wu Mang-ching, Mr. Kenny Tang Sing-hing and Mr. Simon Lam Ka-hang, representing the securities industry; Mr. Pong Po-lam and Mr. George Chan Wing-yau, representing the mutual fund industry; Mr. Billy Mak Sui-choi, representing the education segment; and Mr. Wilson C. Kwok, representing the financial and accounting segment.

OBJECTIVES

The key objectives of IFAPC are to leverage on the combined strength and experience of the members to establish and achieve a higher set of recognized professional standards for the industry practitioners; educating the general public in better understanding of the financial market and to enhance Hong Kong's reputation as an international financial centre.

MEMBERSHIP AND PRACTISING REQUIREMENTS

There are FIVE (5) categories of members of the Association:

i. Fellow Member - with not less than FIVE (5) years of relevant experience and elected by the membership committee.
ii. Associate Member - with less than FIVE (5) years of relevant experience.
iii. Ordinary Member - with less than ONE (1) year of relevant experience.
iv. Corporate Member - open to all firms, companies, institutions and associations dealing with financial analysis, professional commentary related services in the financial sectors.
v. Founding Member - limited to THIRTY (30) only and is open to all firms, companies, institutions and associations dealing with financial analysis, professional commentary and related services in the financial sectors.
